Fun in the water at 1,700 meters altitude

Every childhood is full of magic and enchanting moments – at the Fichtenschloss with the Fichtenwichtel (fir elves), you can rediscover this joy of life with your family. A long, long time ago, the diligent Fichtenwichtel came to the Rosenalm and lovingly built an expansive castle complex over 5,000 m² for the princely couple who would one day live there.

Even from afar, the four walkable towers, made entirely of wood, majestically rise into the sky. Now big and small guests of the Zillertal Arena can let off steam by climbing the climbing tower, sliding down the slide tower, or tinkering in the crane tower. The best way to enjoy the grand view of the surrounding mountains is from the 18-meter-high lookout tower or for the daring explorers, by navigating the treetop path, which leads from the slide tower through the surrounding trees. In addition to a wooden marble run, the spacious water and sand play area and an adventure playground, little builders will find plenty of opportunities to continue the work of the Fichtenwichtel in the Fichtenwichtel construction hut and the crane tower. The hammock forest also offers cozy spots to rest and let your soul relax.

TIP: Every day from 11:00 AM to around 2:00 PM, you can grill your own food at the Wichtel Grill in the castle kitchen. You can also purchase sausages from a local butcher at the castle grill machine in the Fichtenschloss!

The Arena Coaster is not just for kids: Fun, action and speed await you on this alpine roller coaster in the Zillertal. The 1,450-meter-long coaster starts right at the base station in Zell am Ziller and features numerous waves, steep curves, and jumps, making it a year-round attraction for young and old. A 360° loop and a 540° loop add extra adrenaline to your summer vacation in the Zillertal.

Ravensburger Play World

Fun and games with Albert Adler await you at the mountain station of the Ahornbahn!

Together with Ravensburger, an exciting and diverse indoor play world has been created on around 140m². (Recommended for ages 3 and up)
Equipped with a large climbing wall, a playhouse with books and coloring sheets, an eagle's nest with listening stations, GraviTrax and Brio play tables, as well as giant puzzles and memory games, you’re sure to have an exciting time with us! Albert Adler and his friends are already looking forward to seeing you!

Adler Stage on the Ahorn

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! When the excitement rises, so does the pulse, bringing with it a feeling of happiness. However, the Adler Stage on the Ahorn doesn’t need a lot of fanfare. The impressive location and the chance to get up close and personal with birds of prey make young and old visitors immediately focus on what matters. Visitors have free access to the Adler Stage Ahorn from mid-June to October every day (except Wednesday and Friday) between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, where they can visit the falconers and their birds of prey.

During the daily Birds of Prey Show (except Fridays) at 2:00 PM, up to 380 "cinema-goers" can watch the majestic aerial acrobats in action and learn fascinating facts from the falconers about the life habits of these wild feathered animals. Being close to nature in a show like this is better than any movie night.

LeisureTrail Ahorn

The stroller-friendly Panorama Trail, which runs across the entire Ahorn Plateau, provides information on the diverse animal and plant life in the High Mountain Nature Park Zillertal Alps, while also impressing with breathtaking panoramic views. For those who can’t get enough of the scenery, it’s best to linger at one of the four viewing platforms: Adlerblick, Zillertal, Stilluptal, or Filzenalm. You can also discover the Falconer's Oasis at the reservoir or relax at the Pleasure Place near the mountain station, or at one of the many resting spots.

Ahorn Lake and Ahorn Stream

Nature lovers will find peace and tranquility at Ahorn Lake and Ahorn Stream. Around the lake, there are numerous opportunities for visitors, big and small, to play, rest and relax. Breathe deeply and dip your feet into the cool water—this is the perfect place to unwind! Various play zones and water oases also accompany the leisurely walking trail along Ahorn Stream, promising fun and entertainment for adults, families and children!

Marmot Land Zillertal offers you unique nature experiences at 1,800 meters above sea level—easily accessible by car or bus via the Zillertaler Höhenstraße.

Around the Kaltenbacher Skihütte, the Schweiberer family has created a marmot park with an adventure playground to give visitors not only fun and games but also a closer connection to nature through the marmots—and all with FREE ENTRY! The Kaltenbacher Skihütte is a traditional mountain inn with a beautiful terrace and a magnificent panoramic view of the Zillertal mountains. The hearty cuisine offers delicious Zillertal specialties all day long, as well as game dishes from their own pens at Pension Schönblick.
